Lynx

Print ad - The colours used in the print ad are black and yellow; black bold text and a bright yellow background. The connotations of the background is the morning sun to relate with the text '"Wake up and stay alert" also because it's so bright it helps 'stay alert'. The message is using Lynx morning gel will help stay alert in the morning. The target audience are 'men' who wake up early in the morning; I think men because stereotypically men wake up early to go work.

TV ad - Firstly you hear the door bell and the woman opens the door for the man who is a worker. The woman is dressed to show certain parts more, she's done this on purpose for the man, she acts very nice towards the man and the man reply's back normally which she's surprised from. This also may surprise the audience because an attractive woman was trying to get an average guy to like her, this shows how tried he is, later on he uses the Lynx morning gel seen in the cut in shot. And now should be awake.
The woman is represented as a need for attention because she wants the man to realise her so she dresses up and acts kind. The closing shot is Lynx's slogan for the morning gel "Wake up and stay alert" set out like the print ad.

In this ad it's also changed it's way it is appealing to the audience because usually the appeal in Lynx ads are need for sex, however in this the man didn't really care about the woman and the appeal was different - possibly need for attention as the woman wanted to be noticed by the man.
